According to Dr. London, “The CAUSE Board of Directors was honored to
recognize General Chiarelli with its first Dr. Jennifer and Dr. Jack
London Medal for Distinguished Service. General Chiarelli’s personal
mission to make the ‘invisible disease visible’ has enhanced the lives
of military men and women and their families who have sacrificed to
protect our freedoms. We are exceedingly thankful for his vision,
dedication, and tenacity in addressing the invisible wounds of war, and
the long-term impact of his work on the recovery of millions of people
inflicted with post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury.”
