Work With New Customer Expands CACI’s Presence in Business Systems
and Logistics and Material Readiness Markets
ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
CACI International Inc (NYSE
MKT: CACI) announced today it was awarded a $199 million task order
to provide operations and maintenance support and enhancements for the
U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Web-Based Supply Chain
Management (WBSCM) system. This five-year task order was issued under
the General Services Administration (GSA) Alliant Government-wide
Acquisition Contract (GWAC) vehicle. It represents new work for CACI,
growing the company’s presence in its Business
Systems and Logistics
and Material Readiness market areas.
WBSCM is a web-based commodity ordering, acquisition, distribution, and
tracking system built on SAP® commercial software. It supports USDA and
USAID-administered food and nutrition assistance programs, including the
National School Lunch Program, the Emergency Food Assistance Program,
and the global UN World Food Program, which serve over 30 million
Americans daily through over 100,000 school districts, food banks,
feeding centers, and Indian Tribal Organizations, as well as over 280
million people in 65 countries through foreign governments and 30
private voluntary organizations (PVOs).
Under this task order, CACI will provide system operations and
maintenance to ensure the effectiveness and reliability of the WBSCM
system as well as implement enhancements to improve the end-user
experience and how the solution supports the Department’s mission. CACI
specializes in providing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)-based supply
chain management systems to the federal government using SAP, and its
supply chain systems currently serve more than 60,000 direct users.
