announced today that its Chief Medical Information Officer, Dr. Keith
Salzman, has received the 2013 Physician IT Leadership Award from the
Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), a global
network of health IT professionals. The award recognizes Dr. Salzman’s
leadership in applying information technology to the needs of physicians
while serving HIMSS and the industry.
Dr. Salzman is a physician, leader, and innovator with more than 24
years of success delivering quality care to patients and pioneering
informatics in the U.S. Army. Since joining CACI in March 2011, he has
been an integral part of the company’s Healthcare
Solutions Group, which meets the federal sector’s accelerating
demand for new healthcare strategies and technology. CACI’s healthcare
solutions support nationwide health initiatives to achieve better care,
healthy people/healthy communities, improved deployment readiness, and
responsibly managed costs. Dr. Salzman’s understanding of clinical
requirements, challenges, and management has added an essential element
