Work Will Help Disrupt Drug Trafficking and Terrorist Networks in
Central Asia
ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
CACI International Inc (NYSE:CACI)
announced today it has been awarded a $62.5 million contract to support
counter narco-terrorism (CNT) work for U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) in
Afghanistan and throughout CENTCOM’s area of responsibility (AOR). This
task order was awarded under the Rapid Response 3rd
Generation contract vehicle and represents continuing work for CACI,
reinforcing its presence in its Integrated Security Solutions market
area.
CENTCOM’s CNT mission involves establishing and supporting CNT networks
and infrastructure, protecting U.S. Armed Forces conducting CNT work,
and providing law enforcement training to host nations in its AOR to
disrupt narco-terrorist activities and organizations. CACI will provide
support in areas such as program management, advisement, training, and
logistics for both CENTCOM and its military and civilian partner
agencies.
CACI has been supporting this CENTCOM mission for the past five years
with its full cadre of subject matter experts in all aspects of CNT.
This team consists of former top-ranking military officers and officials
from civilian agencies intimately involved in CNT work. The high-level
experience of CACI personnel in combatting drug trafficking and
terrorism gives them the functional expertise to support CENTCOM in
developing measurable methods and goals for the program.
